Tallow Sunscreen Cream

Hydrating and anti-inflammatory Grass-fed Tallow provides beneficial vitamins, fatty acids, and antioxidants to sun exposed skin. Alone it has minimal UV protection, an SPF of about 4-5, but when combined with UV blocking minerals such as non-nano zinc oxide it transforms into a natural, and skin-friendly sunscreen that offers both broad spectrum UV protection and nutritional support.

Non-nano zinc oxide heals, protects, and soothes the skin while providing a physical barrier that reflects and scatters UVA and UVB rays without being absorbed into the skin. It does not degrade in sunlight like chemical sunscreens do which allows for broad spectrum long-lasting protection. Its large particle size prevents absorption making it safe for babies and those with sensitive skin.

The breathable barrier zinc oxide forms protects against cuts, burns, and irritation speeding up tissue regeneration and soothing the skin. It is non-allergenic and photostable. This 20% zinc oxide sun cream provides approximately 32 SPF from this ingredient alone.

Red Raspberry Seed Oil, which boasts an impressive 30-50 SPF, is blended into this amazing mixture providing increased protection against UVB rays which are the primary cause of sunburns. This lovely oil isn't just a sunscreen or sunscreen aid! Red Raspberry Seed Oil is packed with antioxidants that protect against the harmful effects of free radicals generated by UV exposure. Those nasty free radicals increase signs of aging and damage skin cells increasing the risk of cancers.

Virgin Coconut Oil fights free radicals with Vitamin E and phenolic compounds preventing oxidative damage, supports skin cell repair, reduces inflammation and provides sunburn relief.

Sweet Almond Oil contributes more antioxidants, vitamins, and anti-inflammatory relief.

This is an amazing alternative to commercial sunscreens which bring plenty of risks like chemical absorption, reproductive, endocrine, and hormone interruption, carcinogens and allergic reactions. While it's hard to make a firm claim to the SPF value of this cream, the ingredients and percentages used suggest an SPF of possibly 30 or more.

Use with common sense like you would any other sunscreen. Stay out of the sun at its highest point of the day. Re-apply if needed. Wear protective clothing if you're going to be out in it and find yourself some shade. And after all that...GO HAVE FUN THIS SUMMER!!
