Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Skin products are designed for intact skin or minor, superficial wounds only. Do not use on deep wounds.
Some essential oils used are photosensitive. With that said, all skincare product scents are designed to be right around a 3% dilution rate (+/-) which means it is unlikely that you would get a great enough quantity of any one photosensitive oil to cause a problem as they are diluted and blended with other oils. However, if that is a concern to you, it is your responsibility to take precautions with protective clothing or use your products only when you will not be in the sun. Please feel free to choose the unscented products offered if you have further concerns. They are there for that reason. Essential oils may also affect the stiffness/softness of some products such as the lip balms.
All tallow skincare products can soften or melt in hot environments. Please plan accordingly when storing or traveling with your items. Conversely, they will harden in cold
environments which you may use to preserve your items longer.
We use glass jars for our balms that are a 2 fluid ounce size and a 4 fluid ounce size. Because the contents of the product inside is not the same density of water these sizes are just a reference and not a reflection of the amount that will fit into the jar. Other container sizes reflect this concept as well.
PLEASE NOTE: all the products are preservative free, unless otherwise stated on the ingredient label, and must be stored in a cool dry area free from water and bacteria! One recommendation for your items that it applies to is using a small clean scoop to remove the desired amount instead of using hands. It is recommended to use products within a year although they may last much longer if stored carefully.
